Dive 26th September 2010

Posted on Posted in Sightings

A great dive today!!!!! Ocean conditions very good ahead of a predicted south westerly buster later this evening.  As we entered the water at Manta Point, we got our 1st raggedtooth shark and had a further 6 on the dive, with 3 of these being at Raggie Cave.  3 turtles were sighted, 2 green & 1 loggerhead.  Humpback whales on the way to the dive and the smallest humpback calf was seen with Mom, trying very hard to breach or learn to breach.  The calf could not have been larger than 3m, so we estimate it to be just a few weeks old.  Bottlenose dolphins came in and we encountered a bull dolphin prior to the dive.  What a day!!!
