Great conditions at Aliwal Shoal post the large south westerly

Posted on Posted in Dive & Ocean Conditions

Since the massive south westerly buster wind came through 22nd & 23rd April, the launch sites in the area were closed for 2 days with swell size in excess of 5m.  Amazingly, the long weekend produced great dive conditions after this, with visibility of around 20m, water temperature of 24 degrees C with a light S – N current.  As there were good breaks inbetween sets, the launch site proved no problem for all charters over this time.
