Sardine run 23 June 2012

Posted on Posted in Dive & Ocean Conditions

A quieter day compared to the sardine action of yesterday, however there is never a dull moment along this coastline and today has been classified a “Whales tale” of a day with exceptional in-water and surface encounters with these amazing humpback whales in clean visibility.

We enjoyed our Skua visit again today, ever brave and energetic enough to hover above the deck of Offshore 1 vessel, much to the delight of all on-board, whilst he waits to take something from someone’s fingers.  And then there was a curious Albatross that graced our company for some time before heading off, well rested and entertained.

We ended our day with a relaxed reef dive on one of our new dive sites.
