Zambezi sharks (Bull sharks) on our baited dive 12th October

Posted on Posted in Sightings

Gosh what a fabulous day of diving, despite the south westerly wind that continued to blow and then drop off late afternoon.

Our first dive of the day was a reef dive to Landers.  Fantastic visibility (20m) welcomed us and as we descended, we found 2 female ragged tooth sharks just hovering in one of the Pinnacle areas.  We saw a black mussel cracker (what a find) and did a drift with the S – N current that was prevalent on the dive.

On our baited dive afterwards, we were excited to see 2 zambezi sharks come in on the bait drum, amongst the 15 blacktip sharks that we had.  We drifted almost 2.2km with the S – N current and the one zambezi shark stayed with us  for the entire dive!!!!!  She came in and had a few closer looks, took a little bit of interest in the bait drum but aside from that, graced us with her presence just because she could!!!  What a superb day of diving with our favourite sharks!!!
